The end of a busy month for the Celia Bryce Band

In various guises we have played 3 festivals, 2 roots clubs and done a support slot for Phil Lee, "The mighty king of love"

Top in terms of everything was the Ship Inn Festival "25 years and 25 beers". The weather was beautiful, the crowd large and enthusiastic and the setting perfect. Is there a better place to play live music than outside on the Green at Low Newton.

The Durham Miners Gala should have been a high spot but it rained so hard that it was like the tide had come in. We were playing in one shelter and our audience was crammed into several other about 50 yards away!

The Dinky Dub Festival at Druridge Bay Country Park was a perfect setting and the 1200 Vw enthusiasts were a great crowd but we had gremlins with the sound.

Now for a restful August before more shows in September
