LAST DAY @ CLUNY STUDIOS

Today was our final day of recording the new Celia Bryce Band album with Tony Davis @ Cluny Studios. With the wonders of modern IT, it will all be parcelled up and sent off to Thom Jutz in Nashville for mixing and additional input. The rough mixes we have heard so far have been great. They have included an amazing drop in session by Rory Hoffman on tenor sax and Justin Moses who has added banjo, fiddle and dobro to various songs. He’s not bad on guitar either [see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqjRPA1nV4Q] but we had Thom for that.

Today’s guests included “The Cluny Street Mission Gospel Choir” and additional percussion from “The Clap Clinic” – it is amazing what you can do with a pair of rubber gloves.

It now seems slightly anti-climactic with no more recording sessions scheduled. Praise the Lord for alcohol.
