The Weather-Gods were good
A wonderful afternoon at The Ship, Low Newton and, for once, the weather-gods were kind. This annual festival has been disrupted by weather more times than we like to think but yesterday the rain held off until after we had stripped all the gear down. When it is warm and sunny, I can't think of a better place in the world.
For those who haven't been, sitting on the green outside the Ship in with Newton Bay in front of you and a pint of the pub's own Spindrift in your hand, Low Newton is one of the most perfect places in the world.
Also on the bill were , Antic Hay a alt folk trio from the Tweed Valley. our great friends Blue Edge with their soul-tinged jazz and the amazing Rothbury Highland Pipe Band
Thanks to Christine & Hannah at the Ship [their Spindrift is a wonderful pint]and of course all the audience for making this a great afternoon out.
