John France RIP

Our great friend and honorary band member John France died today of an malignant brain tumour. He played guitar, pedal & lap steel in the Katy Freeway with us for more than a decade. It is his pedal steel that provides the atmospherics on our recording of "On a bus to St Cloud" off our Links album. One of John's musical highlights was sharing the stage with Al Perkins, a hero for all of us, when he sat in with the Katy Freeway in the heady days of the Magnesia Bank. Our thoughts are with Val, Tom, Lizzie & Alice.
